About Us

In December 2013 the cofounders incorporated Innovation-Clean Energy Economy Pathways (ICEP), Inc.® as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. We have donated our time to schools, teachers and parents in underserved communities over the years. Our work draws upon our backgrounds in education and workforce development; the physical environment and public health; and economic growth and development. We now apply that experience to helping people design career pathways dedicated to sustaining life at the interface of the built and natural environments.

His research included pollution prevention, transportation and consumer protection. He has experience providing extended learning on the environment and health to K-12 students and adults. Hugh earned an MS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Oklahoma and an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from Harvard University. He currently develops ICEP’sSMcurriculum and leads ICEPSM education and training programs.

Louise R. Dankerlin, Cofounder and President

Louise has over 30 years of experience in local and regional development. She has focused on the needs of underserved communities in the U.S. and elsewhere and their unmet demand for informed participation in finding solutions to economic insecurity. She investigated the history of culture, ideas and institutions in order to help design and implement social and economic development programs benefiting lower income groups across countries. Her field-based inquiries into economic self-governance in some low-income countries led to projects in urban and rural environmental and infrastructure services, access to finance and community-driven small enterprise income growth. She has developed academic curricula and educated members of the U.S. workforce pursuing public policy degrees. Louise earned a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Studies and International Food and Nutrition Policy and Planning from MIT. Her 1990 dissertation revealed the hidden roles of women, children and migrant labor in enterprise development. It helped inform US farm policy-making in 2012[1]. She helps design ICEPSMprograms.
